Pineapplesoft is a consulting and training company offering the combined experience of Pascale Dechamps and Benoît Marchal. We are based in Namur, Belgium. Our customers are worldwide (mostly in France and the rest of Europe).

Pineapplesoft is best known as an XML consultant. Indeed as early as 1997 we co-founded the XML/EDI Group. Ever since we have accumulated a large experience in building XML-based solutions.

Our XML experience is renown internationally, e.g. through books, articles and through our participation to numerous international conferences.

Most of our projects are related to either systems integration, such as web services, or document management such as Intranet and electronic publishing. The two approaches are converging in Web 2.0, e.g. RSS offers both content publishing and integration (syndication).

As far as systems integration is concerned, we have more than 10 years of experience. We started with EDI and CORBA, next we moved to online stores and nowadays we work with XML, web services, ebXML, SOAP as well as REST and RSS.

We first got involved in multimedia publishing 7 years ago, thanks to XML and XSL. We work primarily on web and Acrobat (PDF) publishing.

We can help you at any stage in a project. Depending on your needs, we offer help from the analysis/architecture stage to the actual implementation. We also organize trainings. You can ask a consultant to help you on a specific issue or to take care of the entire project for you. We are flexible. Some of our recent references include the European Commission, France Telecom, Influe and IBM.

Although we are best known for XML, we are not limited to XML. Because our solutions are regularly deployed in heterogeneous environments we have been using Java since the early days. We have experience with Windows, UNIX and MacOS X development. We share some projects as open source and we offer analysis and software development services. We work mostly in UML, Java, XSL, PHP, C, C++, Objective-C and JavaScript/AJAX.

In terms of Web 2.0, we also publish the Declencheur podcast (in French). We offer podcast production services, e.g. for communication, training and marketing.

Our approach to problems is not limited to technology. We know our technology but we also know that successful projects integrate well with the organization. Therefore we place special emphasis on analysis and, more specifically, requirement analysis.
